From its start, BTS has focused on integrity, quality, and dependable customer service. Over two decades later, the company now operates multiple offices across the state, offering full turnkey solutions in fiber installation, splicing, OSP construction, cabling, telephony, and network restoration.

Our Founders & Leadership
Ben Boutwell began his career as a cable technician, bringing with him the values of hard work and perseverance from his early years on a Texas dairy farm.
His wife, Kerri, contributed her financial expertise as a professional accountant. Together, they built BTS into one of the most competitive prime contractors in the state.
Since 2020, Glyn "Brock" was brought into BTS and has served as Vice President since then, contributing over 23 years of telecom experience with Time Warner Cable, Comcast, and Charter Spectrum. His leadership helps guide BTS toward operational excellence, client satisfaction, and long-term growth.
Our Work & Timelines
BTS specializes in telecommunications infrastructure across Texas. Core services include fiber installation and splicing, OSP aerial and underground construction, commercial and MDU cabling, network audits and upgrades, and full FTTx turnkey solutions.
- 2003: BTS founded by Ben & Kerri Boutwell.
- 2005 – 2010: Established a flagship office in DFW and expanded into OSP aerial & underground construction.
- 2011: Opened locations in Austin & San Antonio, Texas.
- 2015: Established a presence in the Rio Grande Valley by opening a location in Pharr, Texas.
- 2019: Relocated BTS business operations to a permanent location in Edinburg, Texas.
- 2020: Leadership team expanded with Vice President Glyn "Brock".
- 2022: BTS expands its footprint in the Rio Grande Valley with another location in Harlingen, Texas.
- 2023: BTS announces the opening of a new corporate location in Fort Worth, Texas.
- 2023: Marked twenty years of delivering outstanding service and construction in the telecommunications industry.
- Currently: Recognized as a trusted turnkey telecom construction company across the state.
